Current Opportunities

Special Counsel

Special Counsel will engage with legal issues surrounding climate change and environmental protection in the waters off Victoria and Tasmania. In this role you will think creatively about delivering systemic change in relation to supporting strong community opposition to new oil and gas proposals in the waters off Victoria and Tasmania, including in the Otway Basin and Bass Strait.

Special Counsel

Special Counsel Safe Climate (Gas) will engage with legal issues surrounding climate change and environmental protection in Western Australia. The role will focus on the proposed expansion of onshore and offshore gas developments in Western Australia.

Scholarships

Sarah Flynne Memorial Scholarship

The Environmental Defenders Office is seeking applications from young people in regional or remote Australia to commence their career in environmental law with a training placement supported by the Sarah Flynne Memorial Scholarship.
